Steel manufacturing is a priority industrial sector to be further developed under the Vision 2014 industry roadmap launched by the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia. By 2012, the national steel demand will exceed 10 million tonnes where only half of the demand can be supplied by the local producers
Indonesian construction sector is one of the mains sectors that consume steel production, this particular sector will reach a value of US$78bn in 2013, up from a figure of US$38.8bn in 2008.
